Toddler Kidcare
12-23 Months
Our Starfish (One-Year Olds) have many opportunities to physically explore their world inside the classroom and on the playground. During this kidcare program, they also begin to engage in more structured activities such as learning centers and circle time. Your toddler will start to learn concepts of color, size and will begin building their vocabulary. Our staff understands the challenges that One-Year Olds face in a social learning setting and have experience in helping them adjust to the give and take of the classroom environment.
Learning is fun! We engage our children through books, songs and activities to help children become comfortable with language while growing their vocabulary.
Now that spatial relationships have been introduced and are better understood, we help our toddlers begin to recognize shapes, colors and numbers through toys, games and basic puzzles.
Developing a sense of self leads to this next phase of social emotional development as children begin to develop basic self-help skills while also socializing through parallel play.
Toddlers make strides every day in terms of balance, coordination and fine motor skills during very active days.
Further development of fine motor skills are witnessed in this stage as toddlers begin to sing songs, dance to music and engage in painting and drawing.
