Infant Daycare at Palm Preschool | Quality Learning from the Beginning

Infants

Infant Daycare - 0-11 Months

(Naples Location Only)

In addition to holding and cuddling our school’s infants, our teachers are constantly interacting with them to encourage their mental and physical development in our infant daycare. Our “Seahorses” (the infant group) will learn to grasp toys, vocalize sounds, recognize pictures of familiar objects and acquire a variety of other motor skills. Teachers work with each child in a series of stimulating activities that incorporate the natural routines of feeding and play. Teachers reinforce the babies’ development without disrupting their daily schedule.

Language

During this phase, infants begin to understand sounds and identify words which are fostered through the teachers speaking, reading and singing to them. During this segment of our program, babies are taught a simplistic sign language.

Mathematics

While infants are too young for true mathematics, our teachers can help them understand spatial relationships through experimentations with actions and reactions.

Social-Emotional

Infants begin developing social norms and emotional reactions at very early stages in life. The teachers at Palm Preschool nurture and encourage their developing sense of self.

Wellness

It’s never too early to start wellness training. Each day, our teachers plan a variety of activities and engage in play that will help infants develop their coordination, mobility and fine motor skills.

Creative Expression

Budding Picassos will appreciate our program that affords them the ability to create and respond to sounds as they are exposed to variety of colors, shapes and textures.
